Project Location(s): Work location is Shrewsbury, MA with required travel to client locations throughout the USA.
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer information systems, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects
Responsibilities
- Data modeling, design, configuration, installation, and performance tuning.
- Work with business and application/solution teams to develop conceptual/logical/physical data models.
- Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
- Work with Data Engineer to identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
- Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks.
- Organize large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Collaborating with colleagues for the purpose of collecting and structuring data.
- Collect, audit, compile, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Apply advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principals, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects.
- Build out data and analytics capabilities and standing up a new environment
- Aid in developing the data model to support our Delta Lake and Lakehouse.
- Use a handful of specific business use cases to drive/accelerate data model development:
- QBE Policy Data
- QBE Product Data
- QBE Claim Data
- Master Product Policy Automation
- Homeowners Product
- Work with Data Steward to align data model with data governance process.
- Align on a set of data domains and subdomains.
